Why become an SCCA Member?SCCA Membership rewards those who participate, whether as Competitors or Officials. There is little reason to join SCCA if you plan to just sit at home and read the monthly issue of SportsCar magazine; there is every reason to join if you intend to become an active, involved member. So don't just sit there, get out of the house and Do Something! Who has to be a member?
InsuranceOne of the major benefits of SCCA membership is a very good insurance policy. Coverage is three-tiered: non-members who sign the insurance waiver forms are covered at the lowest level, members who do not hold SCCA licenses are covered at the second level, and members who hold SCCA licenses are covered at the top level. Thus, it is in the best interests of any SCCA member to obtains some sort of license. If nothing else, check off the "Crew License" box on the membership renewal form.
Annual Dues
Special Membership ProgramsARE YOU BETWEEN THE AGES OF 16-21? THIS PROGRAM IS JUST FOR YOU!! The SCCA also has the "first GEAR" program for members aged 16-25. Annual membership dues are $45 per year. first GEAR members would be entitled to full membership privileges, except for holding a speed event competition license (i.e. Club Racing Regional or National, Course Rally, etc.) Anyone under the age of 22 who desires to compete at this level should purchase a "Regular" membership. VOLUNTEER TO BE AN SCCA WORKER AT THE RACES - YOUR FIRST WEEKEND IS FREE!! The SCCA also has the CLUB RACING VOLUNTEER program. Annual membership dues are $30 per year. This program is applicable for those who have not been a SCCA member in the past 18 months. This membership is renewable for a second and third year with the only requirement being that you volunteer four days. Discounts and RebatesMembership Referral New Members – the referred member

Club Racing Volunteer Incentive Based upon number of Club Racing volunteer participation days
Four days: $15 membership discount
Six days: $22 membership discount
Eight days: $30 membership discount
Twelve or more: $30 discount, recognition in SportsCar, & special ID card
Weekend Membership All events except Road Rally $15
Road Rally $15 for one participant (driver or navigator is not an annual member)
$20 for two participants (both driver and navigator not annual members) With the issuance of a Weekend Membership the Weekend-Member receives a Weekend-Member number; this number serves as $15 discount coupon that may be applied towards an annual membership.
Maximum of two coupons may be applied to any type of annual membership, up to the full price of the membership. Discounts/coupons must be used within 60 days of issuance. Military Dues rebate of $35 upon receiving proof of active duty status; reduces SCCA dues to $25 plus Region dues.
