This year's FUN ONE is dedicated to the "father" of our "Fun One" fall regional race. Roger Clouser who was a long-time member of the region holding many jobs in his career with the club. He conceived the name and watched it grow from many different perspectives. He was RE, competitor, and worker. We invite all persons that knew Roger to come and pay tribute. This year's event is aptly named "CLOUSER'S FUN ONE 2002".

Watkins Glen International Road Course, Watkins Glen, New York

Saturday's races (10 laps) will be run on the "Long Course" (3.4 miles in length); Sunday's races (12 laps), including the Volvo Historic Series' race (10 laps) will be run on the "Short Course" (2.45 miles in length).

NYSRRCEvent Classification: This Event is an SCCA Double Regional Race counting towards the NYSRRC Championship. Please see their website for requirements and further information.

Driver Eligibility: Races are open to all current SCCA Competition license holders, also eligible are: CASC National, ICSCC, FIA, SCCA Pro Racing, PSR Pro, MidWest Council and Senior Waterford Hills licenses. EXCEPT THOSE UNDER AGE 18. No 18W licenses will be honored. Drivers must be over 18.

Car Eligibility: Race cars must conform to the 2002 GCR and its amendments.

Special Award: "Champion du Circuit de Glen"

To those special few drivers who win both their class races on Saturday and Sunday (Short & Long courses), and who's class consists of a minimum of five (5) starters each day, Finger Lakes Region SCCA will bestow the crown of "Champion du Circuit du Glen" on Sunday. "Champion du Circuit du Glen" is a lifetime award, and will not be re-awarded to previous winners.

  • No entry will be accepted without a transponder number or transponder rental fee.
  • Late entries will be accepted through Registration until 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 15, 2002.

CANCELLATION OF THE EVENT: The organizers reserve the right to cancel this event due to circumstances beyond their control. If possible, entrants will be notified.

CANCELLATION OF ENTRY: Cancellation requests must be received by noon Friday, September 13, 2002.

Camping is permitted at the track. Entrant camping will be in the Paddock area. RV slots with electrical hookups are available at gate.
