General Membership meeting 6 January 2026

 

Meeting called to order by RE Charlie Tanck at 7:30 PM

 

There were 12 members at the meeting and 1 guest.

 

SCCA convention starts on the 15th of January. For the schedule go to www.scca.com.

 

NEDiv convention is February 21st in Scranton, PA. The region will reimburse convention registration for any members who attends.

 

The region has 431 members right now.

 

The Region Award’s banquet is January 25th, contact Barbara Lissow if you plan on attending. The cost is $30 per person. Right now there are 31 people going. Brunch starts at 11:00 AM and there will be mimosas.

 

Region Charter has been renewed for 2026. Activities director is no longer listed in SCCA database, Barbara is now an admin. All supplemental regulations must now be gender neutral.

 

Region has signed the agreement with SCCA National for Super Tour. We don't have contract with WGI yet.

 

First rally of the year was this past weekend. There were 15 cars with 39 check points. Alan Smith used hybrid check point system. Most check points used Rictha, with maned check points to regroup competitors. One car lost clutch master cylinder and nursed their car home, another got pulled out of a snow bank and continued. The next rally is the Ithaca Winter Rally on the 17th of February. The Rictha check point system costs the region $3.00 per car. The one draw back with Rictha is that a competitor can't change speed groups in the middle of an event.

 

Solo – Region event dates were announced last month and are on the Region calendar. The contract with depot was signed today and Elizabeth is going to send a check this week. We have 7 events plus tour event scheduled this year.

 

Race - This year’s events are all scheduled with the track and SCCA. Glen Region is running a Time Trials during there May event.
