SCCA Announces Trek Program

The SCCA has a new program, the announcement is below along with a link to the rules.

We are pleased to announce that SCCA has added another type of event to our list of motorsport programs: the Trek. A Trek is a non-competitive drive on public roads using a “follow the leader/convoy style” format. A pre-determined route is chosen by the Trek organizer with an emphasis on driving enjoyment. It includes planned rest stops and usually finishes at a restaurant where participants can socialize with food and beverage. The Trek organizer typically drives the lead car and the other cars follow in a convoy fashion. A sweep car takes the last spot. SCCA Treks are non-competitive driving events intended to foster social interaction among the participants. They can also serve as a new path to SCCA membership. Treks are governed by a simple, three-page rule set which is attached to this email. This document is also posted on the SCCA website in the RoadRally documents section.
